AJ Bloggers Into AJ Graphics #3

YES! 2 MORE BLOGGERS HAVE BEEN FINISHED! And I'm doing this early (and scheduling the post, hopefully it works..) because I will be busy on Tuesday.

~before you check out the bloggers, a quick and shameless ad~

Since this is the Animal Jam ARTISTS Collaborative, you guys probably like art like I do! So I made an art channel on YouTube called Amateur Artists. Click on the name if you'd like to check it out ^-^

~back to the post~

In this post, I made Lost Fairy (Author of the Animal Jam Jumble) and Q (author of the Animal Jam Lake Blog)! They're both great people with great blogs, so GO GO GO CHECK THEM OUT IF YOU HAVEN'T! I doubt you haven't, since they're amazing.
Anyway, it was really hard to find deer graphics that actually looked.. NORMAL. So I took a reindeer one and erased the antlers.

LOST FAIRY AND Q!!

And the same for the previous blogger graphics, they are pngs that you can use in edits and such. Feel free to use them for your blog!

Hope you liked them! PEACE. LOVE. NINJAS~~~

The Panda With a Pearl Earring Part 4: The Finished Product!

Hello Jammers, Arctic here!

I have excellent news! At last, I have completed my masterpiece that I've been working on for the last two months!

Now, if you're not familiar with what is going on- allow me to get you all caught up! For the last two months, I have been working on making a masterpiece and showing you all the progression over the weeks. This masterpiece is a parody of a famous painting called The Girl With a Pearl Earring by Vermeer!

As always: here's the original for reference:

All credit to Vermeer
And here is where we left off last week:

Now let's see what I did this week!

First, I did some significant work with some of the finer details. I softened and cleaned up the look of the ears, as well as fix the shading on the arm (which I wasn't happy with last week) to make it flow better together. I also added some shading to the collar and belt, added the important pearl earring, as well as smoothened the body a bit.

Lastly, and most noticeably, I finally got around to fixing the face! Liza's facial markings, nose, and mouth all have more shading and have been made smoother and cleaner. Finally, I fixed the eyes with an airbrush and the smudge tool to give them more depth and life. The eyes are sort of a hybrid between the AJ style and trying to replicate the feeling of the original piece.

The last thing I did was add texture and some gentle shading to the headpiece (and darkened the ears!). I found that no matter how many times I tried to get the contrast as dark as the original, I never liked how it turned out. So, I decided to leave it a bit lighter!

And here it is, in a frame in my den! I chose the stone frame because I felt like it really helped elevate the feeling of how old this painting should be.

Finally, for those interested: I made a gif image of the progression over these last few weeks so you can all see the piece change before your eyes from start to finish!

Thank you to all of you for your supportive comments and embarking on this journey with me! It was well worth the wait!

Let me know how you felt about this series in the comments! Should I do another progression series in the future? What kind of masterpiece should I make next? If you have any questions about individual steps and how I did them, don't hesitate to ask!

Anywho, that's all for now my friends! See you soon!

Some More Masterpieces (I"LL EXPLAIN, XD)!

Hi everyone!
So... eheh... I know this is way late.
And I know I didn't post last week.
And that I SHOULD be doing a Dash Tag art post again.
But uh, I was doing something the first half of the day, and then I went shopping, soooo... I really didn't get around to drawing.

But I figured I should at least post SOMETHING, so why not some more Masterpieces? I've actually found quite a few awesome ones recently!
This post WILL be a bit short, but I wanted to get something out there for you guys, so I'm rushing this just a bit!

Let's just do this! XD

Aaah, I can't tell you how much I love this geometric style! Even though it's straight, simple lines, it still looks amazing! And I love the different shades of orange on this as well! Maybe I'll try a piece like this sometime... XD!
Tatertot3000 did an awesome job on this snow leopard! I don't know if it was one of her animals or not, but WOAH, it looks almost just like the Change Your Look picture! I think my favorite part would have to be that background, though!
Okay... so I'm absolutely in love with how imaginative and beautiful this one is! All the blues are so calming, and that little doorway/hallway was such a cool touch. c:
I love the cute little dragon character on this one! And I know backgrounds can end up adding a lot to a drawing, but I actually really like how the background is just simple white! Makes you better recognize that AMAZING value they added! If only I had that kind of patience... XD.
 Okay.
OKAY.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR THIS MASTERPIECE.
BUT IT'D BE A LOT OKAY. XDD
Seriously though! The lines are so stinkin' SMOOTH, Toothless looks adorable, and the Stitch costume he's in makes it even cuter! I love it so much! <3
This one's a scene (I think anyway) from How To Train Your Dragon 3! I love the expressions in this one - Toothless staring in amazement while the Lightfury kinda smiles cutely at him. XD!
And again, the shading in this... woah! :0
Oh hey, this one's from Bingo999 as well! The same person who made that cute Toothless art up there! Didn't notice that till now, XD!
This one is absolutely adorable as well! The snow they added on the pup's face is a very realistic touch, and AHHHH, THAT FUR LOOKS SO SOFT. XD
And lastly, this ABSOLUTELY STUNNING fox masterpiece by Wolves503!
The fur detail... just... WOAH. I'm in awe.
And that background... and the pose... and... AAHHH!
This is yet another Masterpiece I would absolutely LOVE to own (I'd love to own all of these actually... XD).

Alright, well, that's all I have for today! Very sorry this wasn't a Dash Tag drawing post, as it should've been, but hey, hopefully it was still enjoyable for you all! Until next time (where I actually WILL draw a DT pet), remember to PARTY HARD, BE CREATIVE, and KEEP DRAWING! c:

Heyo guys and today I'll be showing you some Dash Tag edits that I made! I'm not the best editor out there, but I like the ones that I made! I can understand why Swirl Shine likes to draw Dash Tag pets. The designs are really cute ^-^ Btw I think I'll still continue making the bloggers into AJ graphics so that might be the next post! :D ANYWAY...

I put them into circles so I could use them for profile pictures. So here they are!
Mittens

Rattles
Pretzels
Willow

Angel
Rose

Grinch

Luna

Which one's your favorite? Mine is Willow or Angel! Thanks for checking out this post, PEACE LOVE NINJAS~

The Panda With a Pearl Earring: Part 3!

Hey Jammers, Arctic here!

Now if you've been keeping up with my posts over the last few weeks, you'll know that I have been working on a masterpiece parodying a famous work of art called Girl with a Pearl Earring. Each week I have worked a little bit more on the masterpiece to show you guys the progression of my art as I work toward the end result. Now that we're all caught up, let's see what we have now!

As always, here is the original for reference:

So last week we left off with a bit of rough shading and smoothing to give the piece a bit more shape and an illusion of 3D-ness, leaving us here:

Now, I was pretty happy with how it looked at this point. However, I began to realize that the colours are far lighter than the original, and was still lacking form because there wasn't any significant shadowing happening. So, this week I played around with the airbrush and the smudge tool to really create more of a dramatic contrast between light and dark, thereby creating more depth.

I still have to finish adding shadows to most of the headpiece, but I did a lot with the body and dress this week which I am happy about! Over the next week I might try and tackle some shading throughout the rest of the piece.

That's all for now, folks. Stay tuned for next week!

The Panda With a Pearl Earring: Part 2!

Hi Jammers, Arctic here!

Goodness, it has been a while hasn't it? From computer issues to getting sick to travels, this has been a hectic couple of weeks!

With my computer breaking down, I was very worried that I would lose all my files (and thereby losing the progress I made on my current masterpiece as well!). Fortunately, we were able to recover everything - and nothing was lost!

Anywho, if you've been keeping up with my most recent posts, you'll know that I am taking on a pretty ambitious summer Masterpiece project! For this project, I am making an AJ-version of a famous painting. I am parodying a painting called The Girl With a Pearl Earring and replacing the main figure with Liza!

Here is the original for reference:

And here is where we were last week:

Now, let's see what progress I made, shall we?

Now if you recall from my last post, I started out with a rough sketch and then some basic colouring. This week I started some of the more major details such as shading and highlighting!

I started out with some very rough colouring for details using the basic paint brush. I personally thought it looked pretty cool like this - sort of like an old comic book? But, graphic pop isn't the style I was going for so I softened it out after laying out some of the main colours. I also changed the mouth a little bit to better reflect the original painting.

Below we see the image after I took the smudge brush and softened everything up a bit. Now the lines are a lot less harsh and the colours blend better together, giving off a more paint-like feel (which is what I am going for!)

This masterpiece has been pretty difficult for me as it is a different method than what I am used to! Typically, I just use the airbrush for everything, but I was determined to try out a different style and stay true to the original feel of the painting. That's not to say I won't be using some airbrush later on, though!

Speaking of airbrush, I think that's probably what I'll be doing for next week - now that I have the softness I need, I want to come back in with some texture and some extra blending which will require the airbrush!

That's all for this week, folks! Stay tuned for next time!

Plushies and Lips Art Progress+Latest digital drawing and Artist Spotlight #2

Hello again everyone:)
Look's like you all will be getting another post from me before my summer break is over. Mwuahahahahaha. Don't you all just feel special? Its like a little fairy has granted a wish XD
Mwuahahaha. Don't mind me I don't even know what I am talking about right now XD

So I decided to do some progress of my AJ plushie masterpiece and another one on Chicken smoothie to post about today!! So let's go check these out. I also should show the art I finished I on CS the other day too!

Plushie Drawing:

So here are the plushie drawings outlines.
Okay I feel like these plushies just get creepier as they go along...
Like the bunny is all cute and innocent and then the panda looks suspicious and the horse has messed up legs and then we get to the tiger and its like... WHO YOU LOOKING AT ? XD
I hope these look better when they are um.. Actually coloured inXD

You guys right now are no lie right now probably like...
VIOLET, I THOUGHT YOU COULD DRAW!! This looks like garbage!!
Well, it does, but just remember this is just an outline of the drawing. It still needs to be coloured in and stuff:)

I guess I am basically done the outline of that so far!

I guess next time you guys will be seeing hopefully the final product? Though let's only hope that happens. Don't expect this to be done in 3 weeks, cause there is a good chance that it wont XD I hope it gets finished in 3 weeks though. That would be nice!1

CS Lip Drawing:

I actually can't wait to add the shading to these lips! Im hoping it will look good once the shading is added:)
The teeth look kinda big for the mouth right? Let me know in the comments if you think the teeth should be smaller!!
This should be definitely finished in 3 weeks!

Also here is my latest artwork.

The s looks like a 5 but that was just how the font was. This originally kinda looked like Harry Potter colours before the purple was added and all the white on the black words as well as the hearts.
I actually really like this so I am kinda proud. And if you couldn't tell those are yellow hearts and yellow describes a happy colour/smiling colour. So yeah:)

Finally to finish off the post we have our....

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT!
This week's artist spotlight goes to...
ICIBLUE!
I didn't actually see much art in this jammer's den of her own. But she does have a lovely display of a bunch of wild life/animal masterpieces, that LOOK AMAZING! I highly recommend visiting her den when you have a chance!

Here is a mp of hers:
I love the textures this person was able to create on the wood of the tree. I also love how cute this panda looks! I love pandas:)
Awesome job!!

Also, i'd reccommend going to Floofyart's den as well, because the masterpieces there are just amazing also!!

Sometimes, I wonder how artists can make such intricate and realistic artwork on AJ's art program.

Well thats all I have today!!
See you guys in 3 weeks or sooner with another post (of hopefully finished art to show:))
Have a great day:)

Dash Tag Challenge - Day 7!

Me: HELLOOOOOOO EVERYONE!!!
You Guys: Oh! Hi... Sarah!
Me: Sarah? Uh, nope.
You Guys: OH! Sorry Violet!
Me: What? I'm not Violet either!
You Guys: ... Cookies?
Me: NO.
You Guys: KAAAAARA?
Me: THIS ISN'T EVEN KARA'S POSTING STYLE.
You Guys: Wait... WAIT.
ARE YOU THAT ONE BLOGGER? UM... WHAT WAS HER NAME... UH... SHINEGIRL OR SOMETHING?
Me: SHINEGIRL?! How on earth did all of you forget my username?!
You Guys: Well, it's not like we've seen you much latelyyyyyy.
Me: ... eheh.

Ahem, and now that that intro's done, HELLOOOOO EVERYONE, XD!

Before we get into the post, I just wanted to say that I'm SUPER sorry for not posting for two weeks in a row! The first week, I was actually in Colorado on a trip that I forgot to inform you guys of, and the second week, I, uh... completely forgot. And then I was gonna make it up on another day, but uh... I forgot to do that too.
True story. I've been forgetting EVERYTHING lately. I swear something's wrong. XD

Buuuuut hopefully all that wasn't much of an inconvenience to you guys anyway! And I'm back now, for Day 7 of my lil' Dash Tag challenge (a very late Day 7, but one all the same)!!

So today, it wasn't very hard at all to choose which pet I wanted to draw, because one just seemed to call to me, for some reason, XD. So, I chose the lil' Boston Terrier (or maaaaybe a French Bulldog? Who knows, XD) Beo!

Gotta be honest here, I was actually a bit nervous about doing this one (and I still am, although just a bit), since... well, it's different from stuff I normally do. But hey, I actually find this description hilarious, XD!
Apparently, this lil' guy is a goth pup! (You can tell AJ's really having some fun on this game, XD!) So, I decided to draw him with a few more accessories than he has on in the game, just to make his personality pop a bit more, y'know? XD
And here's the result!

*Laughs* Surpriiiiise? XD

I'm not kidding when I say that I actually really liked drawing this character! He was surprisingly easy to make and color in, so KUDOS TO YOU, BEO. XD

Anywho, as you can see, I did give this guy a bit of a hairstyle over one eye, because... well, it just suits him, in my opinion! Makes him look more goth-y and not just annoyed at something. XD
I also added a nick in his ear (idk, I guess he's a bit rough sometimes, XD), and a line under his eye to just add more annoyance to his expression. And he already had the spike collar (*GASP* LOOK HOW RARE HE IS!!!)
Also, yes, yes, the tip of his hair IS pink. I figured making it red would just blend too much with his fur colors, and I mean... HE NEEDS SOME PASTEL-NESS. XD
Hey, pink can totally be a "manly color" if he wants it to be. XD

Anywho, I really hope you guys enjoyed this drawing, despite the fact that I don't normally draw characters with personalities like Beo's, XD. (I honestly really like his design though - he's one of my favorite Dash Tag pets I own so far, XD!)
Until my next post (which will hopefully be on time, like this one for once), remember to party hard, be creative, and KEEP DRAWING (I'm uh... still workin' on it. XD)!

AJ Bloggers In The AJ Style (RE-POSTED)

So the pictures weren't showing up on the previous post, and when I tried to fix it, it was really glitching out. Sooo I'll start over lol (Blogger is actually really glitching out while I'm making this for some reason)

This is probably something I wouldn't say but have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY because it's Wednesday now XD Anyway, if you saw the title, I took 2 AJ bloggers and turned them into AJ graphics! (I used an AJ graphic and kinda just drew over them, is that cheating? Hopefully you'll like them anyway)

TRANSIONS:

I tried to make it look like your fox, but I had NO IDEA how to do the bone tail XD

ARCTIC STAR:

Here's your raccoon!

In the next one, I'll make Sarah & Violet! (TYSM Sarah for sending me the photos of your main looks!)
