Introduction time- Crazcatlover

Hey, Jammers!  Crazcatlover here, with the first of the daily blog posts here on the Animal Jam Artists Community!  I really look forward to working with all of the amazing authors on this blog!

In case you want to know what day each author will be posting, here's the schedule:

Arcticstar8404- Monday
Harmonypurr9- Tuesday
Karalee- Wednesday
Sharae16- Thursday
Crazcatlover (aka me)- Friday
Swirlshine- Saturday

Anyways!  You probably know me already, or at least know about me, seeing as I'm the owner of this blog!  But for those of you who don't know me, it's introduction time!

I'm Crazcatlover, but you can call me Cat.  I got my username a long time ago when I wanted to sign up for a (different) website, but I was a small child so I didn't know what to type in as a username.  So I did what any child would do, and begged my brother to come up with a username for me.  Since I was absolutely obsessed with cats, he typed in Crazycatlover.  But since the website had a username character limit of 12 characters, he removed the 'y' and said it would still be pronounced the same.  Being a strange little child, though, I decided to pronounce this username 'craze cat lover' anyway, and that username (and pronunciation) has stuck with me ever since.

This is my main Animal Jam look.  I think polar bears are really cool :)

This is my other main look, since I've had this wolf pretty much since I made my account.  But since  nearly everyone has wolves (be them regular or arctic) as their main looks, I tend to use my polar bear more often than my wolf.

I joined Animal Jam way back in 2011, and started a YouTube channel, and then a blog, in 2016 to showcase my Animal Jam drawings.  While I no longer play the game nearly as much as I used to, the amazing people I met through it have become some of my closest friends, and I just can't bring myself to leave.

Time for some Random facts about me!! about me!! about me!  about me!

  • I love superheroes!  My favorite superhero would be a tie between Spiderman and Robin/Nightwing (mainly Young Justice Robin/Nightwing)
  • I want to be a comic book artist someday, although currently I have a hard time drawing any comics more advanced than stick-figure comics.
  • Drawing is my favorite thing to do!  (Which I guess is pretty obvious, since I made an entire blog dedicated to art...)
  • I have a major sweet tooth- give me a bag of candy and its contents will probably be consumed within 24-48 hours.
  • I'm kind of a grammar police.  Fellow authors, if you find that someone has gone through your post and corrected your grammar, that'd be me.  I apologize in advance.
  • I love animals, and have 3 pets- 2 cats and 1 rambunctious puppy.
  • My favorite band is Twenty One Pilots.
I'm currently taking a break from drawing digital art/speedpaint videos until I can get a drawing tablet, so until then most of the art I'll be posting here will be edits.  However, I did make a traditional  (aka on paper) painting of my good friend Snowlondon's owl as a human:

For anyone interested in the materials, I used Canson XL mix-media paper, colored it using Crayola and Prang semi-moist watercolors, and then did a bit of digital touching-up on my computer using GIMP.  Yeah, I use really cheap art supplies XD

I had a lot of fun drawing this; I hardly ever use watercolors.  Instead, I usually either color art digitally (which can be quite annoying because I have to use a mouse for digital drawings), or just leave it as a sketch.  Maybe I'll do some more watercolor paintings soon!

And, yeah!  That's all for this post!  I hope you have a fabulous day full of happiness and kittens, and I'll see you next Friday :)
