Making a PAPER SQUISHY + Artwork

Heyo guys, and toDAY I made a paper squishy. You may have remembered a post I did, where I made a memory foam squishy. Wellllllllllll I decided to make a paper squishy, where I basically followed tips from Chelsey DIY  and made my own cookie squishy! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO

Step 1)

Take some pencils and sketch out your shape, for me, I just needed to sketch out the circle, eyes, and where the chocolate chips will be. Of course, you can make it however shape you want :P also, I folded a piece of paper and drew on one side, but cut out the same shape on the other, and they should still be connected. That's important :D

Step 2)

You'll need to color in your sketch, and outline it if you wish. I chose some brown markers for my cookie base and chocolate chips! And I used a black marker for the eyes and mouth. To add that kawaii touch, I used white paint and pink paint to make the shine in the eyes along with some blush.

Step 3)

Cover the whole thing in clear tape! (The other side as well) I used the satin finish scotch tape, but any clear tape will work.

Step 4)

Cut it out, and it should have double the shape that you drew, because you should fold the paper in half. Now you're ready for step 5!

Step 5)

Tape the sides of the two together, but not all the way. And a good tip is to cut the piece of tape into 3 pieces if you need to fold the tape into curved places.  Keep on doing this all the way around, but keep the top open. This should form a pocket! Time to get the stuffing ready.

Step 6)

Put your stuffing into the little pocket! I'm using leftover scraps of memory foam from my memory foam squishies. But since people mostly do this craft because they don't have foam, it can easily be replaced with tissues, plastic bags (save the environment!), toy stuffing, etc. But since I have a million tiny scraps, I'll be using those.

Step 7)

Seal it in, and touch up any extra tape. Your squishy is finished!!!

Ta-Da!!! It's not that squishy as foam squishies, or store-bought ones, but it's really cool and fun to make! It doesn't take that long, and I had fun. I will be making these a lot more, because there's so many different designs you can do with this simple craft!!

Chicken Smoothie Art

Me: *Walks in to room nervously* Uh, Hi, guys...
You Guys: Transions, where have you been? We waited all night for a post!
Me: I'm sorry... I drew this for a couple hours, then had to go to the doctor's, then went to    see a movie, then watched Masterchef Junior, then slept.
You guys: Well, if this was a party we would have eaten all the brownies by now.
Me: No!! Not the brownies! Fine. Here's your post:

Hi, Guys! Sorry for the crazy intro. I wanted to make another blogger magical girl but I was on vacation all week so I couldn't plan one so I'm just going to show the steps I took to make a piece of art on Chicken Smoothie.
So, this is the basic outline.
I added in another layer for guidelines to draw the face.
In this progress shot I cleaned up the chin and neck and added the sunglasses.

This lens took me way, way too long.

I finished both lens but I liked the glare on the left one more.

Here, I changed it to look a bit better.
Next, I shaded the skin.
For the hair I did something much different from what I normally do. First, I traced the black outline in dark brown, and I colored in the inside light brown.
Then, I added some lines in dark and light brown. I also added some shading to the hair.
And I added a beach background.

Well, I hoped you liked this post! Here is the art on Chicken Smoothie. Stay awesome and have a great day!

Art Dump of Light and Shadow! (or, This Post Title Sounds Like it Could Be a Circus.)

Hello Jammers!

This week, we'll be taking a break from our regularly-scheduled chibis... mostly because I don't know where my drawing stylus is. (I had it recently, I know it! But where?)

In substitution for a chibi, I'll be doing an art dump of several drawings I've made previously, when I was practicing light and shadow. Tell me what you think in the comments? C: What areas look like they should be in more shadow than they have? Is the light source consistent?

This lady doesn't really have much shadow, since her light source is from above. However, she does have some warm orange-toned highlights, and the folds of her dress do have some shadows on them.

This was, I believe, mostly an excuse to draw shiny golden curls (which I find to be the most fun kind of hair to draw), but I am also very happy with how the jeans turned out! It seems to be mostly the placement of the fading on the shins, thighs, and -- er, posterior that makes jeans look like, well, jeans.

This is an experimentation I made with a much more anime-like style, and colored in a manner reminiscent of cel shading. Some of my favorite parts of this are the way the hair is divided into large clumps that work together to make a unified hairstyle, and also those little pants-wrinkles behind the knee. Those just make me too happy. It's ridiculous. XD Clothing folds are difficult for me, so the difference that ended up coming out between the leather jacket and the cloth pants is really pleasing, and I want to figure out just how that happened and replicate it.

Well, that's the end of the art dump! See you next time for another intallement of How To Chibi!

*waves* Have a wonderful week, and please leave me a comment about where my light and shadows could improve! 😀 Bye for now!

PEACE!
LOVE!

Some art! Oh! And art! And more art!

ART AND ART AND ART!

okay, I have been preparing some artwork for this week's post and... here it is!

*magical poof thing*

*then art appears*

So if you remember Sarah's tag, I wanted to make a winter scene. HAHA IT'S SPRING NOW, BUT WHATEVER. I CAN DO WHAT I WANT. SoOoO those were the sketches, here's where I need your help.

Do you like the look of it without a black outline? I kind of like the look of it, so I might fix it up and change it a little. I'm not sure, what do you guys think?

NOW FOR NOTEBOOK DOODLES AND DRAWINGS!!! >:O

And yeah! Picture one is of a gamer girl, whose headphones lead to a heart. The others are random cat drawings that I drew because I was bored XD

Anyway, thanks for reading. I really appreciate it, and please comment whether you think the outline should stay, or if it looks better without one. Okay,

PEACE, LOVE, NINJAS!! ✌🏻💖🕶

Spring Art From Across Jamaa!

Hello hello everyone! Happy almost-Easter!!

Hey, look at that! I'm actually posting at a decent time! XD

I wish I had some recent art of my own to show you all, but I haven't made many new drawings lately- I've been pretty busy!
So, for now, until I've made some new art pieces, how about some spring-themed Masterpieces this week, to celebrate the arrival of the season!

First, a beautiful cartoon-style Mira, with a beautiful, flower-y background! I love how "fluffy" the feathers look, and the pastel colors just really make this art awesome as well! Plus, I'm just a sucker for Mira and Zios artwork, XD!
0Ashfur0 is a great artist- I've seen a couple more Masterpiece by them before, and they rocked!
Next, some very beautiful waterfalls made by the one and only Iciblue! Man, I'd love to actually visit a place like this- it looks so peaceful! My favorite part of this art would have to be the lake/pond at the bottoms of the falls- the color really makes it pop, and the way you can see some slight ripples on the surface is a great touch as well!
I found this piece forever ago, but I still love it! That raccoon is so adorable, and I just love the pastel colors! Bluetotoro (hmm, a CS reference, perhaps?) is a very underrated artist, in my opinion!
This piece is pretty popular, but it definitely deserves the over 90,000 likes it has! I absolutely love the way everything looks as if it's almost blowing away in the wind! And all the different-sized flowers is a nice touch as well!
I don't know if I've shown this one before, but here it is anyway, XD! The way the grass is made is beautiful- man, I don't even have the patience to even draw a background, much less spend so much time making the grass look like this! But it's a super great touch, and the night sky through the trees looks super pretty, too!

Alright! That's all I have for now, everyone! Remember to party hard, be kind, and jam on, and I hope you all have a happy Easter with your families! Byeeeeee! ;D
