Dash Tag Challenge - Day 5!

I know this is late again.
But uh, let's face it, when have I not been late? Pretty rarely.
So uh, LET'S JUST SKIP PAST ALL THIS NONSENSE AND GET TO THE GOOD STUFF! XD



Alright, so I almost totally forgot to do a drawing today, but thankfully I did end up remembering! I was going to do Clyde the pony, but, uh, the thing I was gonna draw him doing turned out to be a little harder than I thought, and I just really didn't have the time to be testing different poses out, eheheh...
So I went with another pony instead - Amber!

So apparently, Amber's got a lot of crushes... XD! Although hey, she's not the only one, I know that! XDD
Anywho, since Amber seems to be pretty romantic, I figured I'd draw her with a romantic expression! And here's the result!

ACK, I JUST REALIZED I FORGOT TO COLOR THE LITTLE BLUSHING-MARKS PINK!

Oh well, not a big deal. I'll add that later just for the satisfaction of it, XD!

Anyways, as you can see, Amber's thinking of one of her crushes in this, which happens to be Dandy, a pony I recently got on Dash Tag!

He's a pretty dapper-looking dude, so I figured it'd make sense for Amber to be fond of him, XD!

I made Dandy's hair curling upwards a bit more than Amber's in the picture, so that they didn't look too similar! And, as you can see, I added a flower behind Amber's ear as well, just because I felt the drawing needed something, and I made the white eye reflections into the shape of hearts! HEARTS EVERYWHEREEEEEE, XD!

I actually had a lot of fun drawing Dash Tag ponies for the first time - they're surprisingly easier to make than I expected! And their hair is nice to play around with too, XD!

This week, by popular request, we have the Flamingo!

I can’t believe I haven’t done this before, it was so cool to convert the angular shapes to round chibiblobs! 😄

Next week, we’ll have... the Clydesdale, I think. 😃 I’ve fostered a bit of an unnatural dislike for that animal because of the notorious DAB, but overall they’re really cool creatures that deserve as much attention as any other avatar. (Dabs just irrationally annoy me for some reason. 😐)

Creating Tiny Candy Squishies! (Like, SUPER TINY)

Sorry about missing several posts D: I kept forgetting >.< But I'm going to be pasting in pictures of this craft that my cousin (Sweets4ever9) and I did. It's kind of like a tutorial and a "How I Made This"

So we were making squishies out of memory foam, and when we were shaping the foam... a mountain of scraps appeared! WOW! :O Huh, wonder how that happened.

So we shaped them into circles and put puffy paint on them. Also, quick bonus, LOOK HOW MANY POPSICLE STICKS WE USED (To the right)

So here's how they turned out, and we took ziploc bags for the bag! We got paper and folded them in half to cover the front and back of the bag. BTW Sweets taught me how to do this XD And you can see our memory foam squishies drying, sweets made a carrot and I was trying to make a strawberry XD

Next, we decorated and wrote on the packaging. We named them Yummy Gummies, hopefully that isn't some brand that we accidentally stole the name from... o.o To the right, is the front of Sweet's packaging.

Hey Jammers! I'm sooooo sorry I didn't post last Sunday (I say that a lot) We went swimming because it was like 90F and everything was just out of my mind XD  Anyways today I decided to look back on some art! A lot of it is kinda old so, prepare your eyes!!! I'm serious.

This was done a whilee ago, I kinda want to redraw it! The only reason why it isn't terribly horrible is because its a silhouette.  Man I wanna reread that series again.. BUT IT ISN'T AT THE LIBRARY WHYWHWYWHYWWWHYYYY-  it was good. it was good. it was confusing at times because earth blue yellow and green, but that was good writing, it wasn't like om this author is a bad author, the plot is confusing-stop rambling me, also the spider trees were cool, also they freaked me out, also *slaps self*  CADILACS ARE EVIL!!! BAD GUYS ALWAYS DRIV-

What is wrong with her dress, its thin, but then its really poofy.

Her legs, something went wrong, tragic incident as a child? 

Actually, the tree in the background doesn't look really really bad, but.

The one in the front, ohhhhh boi.. The eyes aren't too bad, (I had a reference) but

its suppose to be a cheetah, but look at the pattern?

THAT'S NOT A CHEETAH PATTERN  PAST ME. The back is just.. weird, the tail is weird, everything is weird, look at its paws. Did I mention I was really proud of all this art? now I'm not proud of anything except for 1/40 pieces of my work.

1. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALDERPAW, YOUR PAWS ARE UNEVEN, YOUR BACK IS I DONT EVEN KNOW, WHY ARE YOU FACING THE CAMERA, WHY IS EVERYBODY FACING THE CAMERA EXCEPT TWIGKIT AND VIOLETKIT. Something's wrong with Twigkit's paws, otherwise she looks meh, Violetkit looks like.. weird. A little Briarlight action going on with her back paws, Bramblestar  YOU MOUSEBRAIN BRAMBLESTAR ARGH

Now, after that eye bleeding art.. some pretty good art? That I'm proud of? In a few months or next year, I'll be cringing at this, don't you worry! 

 

Considering its a dragon, and uhm its a dragon, I'm pretty happy with the results! Its kinda squished together (I have a bad habit of starting to close to the side tbh)  At the time I made this I was confused and was thinking Queen Scarlet was the Sandwing queen, which is why the background is sandy, otherwise I'm pretty happy with it! 

some of it still needs to be filled in with blue me. SHEESH 

                                                        Makes lovely Christmas cards though :)

This is so outdated o,o I need to make a new one sometime! I'm pretttyyy happy with it?  

I'm actually reallly happy with how this is turning out! The flowers are going to take forever thoughhh... Then I plan to add some details in the sky and path and grass! (Basically all the background) Then I'll probably work on the person and horse a little bit? I'm sorta going for semi-realistic! Luckily I found a few masterpiece coins on my spare, so I can make it into a masterpieceeee  AGH DID MY COLORS JUST RESET?!

I ONLY WENT OUT OF THE ART STUDIOOOOOOOOOOOOO-Ahem, the colors I had were easy to get, but AJ, what if I had really complicated colors?! HUHHH!?! That's what we need a color picker. I mean cmon AJ.

Honestly, without AJ blogging, I probably never would have pursued my dream of being an artist, of course I drew when I was a little kid, and I drew every once and a while, everybody does. But none of my family have every tried to, and kept to, drawing except me and Ja. My older brother was in it for a while, but didn't get very far. So thank you <3  

In other news, AJAC is going to have a newish, fullish, author! 

As many times as I blink, I'll think of you...

I worked on this post all through the week XDD 

I had hoped to get the drawing done today, but when we got home from Church me and Ja spent 5. hours. switching rooms with Nas and Bunnygirl. We haven't even moved the crib or computer into our new room yet.

So.. DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT ORGANIZING FOLKS, YOU PROBABLY WONT HAVE TO DO IT FOR 5 HOURS :D

Dash Tag Challenge - Day 4 (SUPER Late Edition)!

*Sighs*
So... uh...
I forgot to post again, didn't I?
I guess watching a movie and going swimming is a bit distracting... at least for me. Eheheh...
This wasn't even doing it late. This was downright forgetting until something Sarah sent reminded me (So Sarah, you're my posting lifesaver, XD)!

SO I'M GONNA DO THIS POST, LATE OR NOT. XDD


So, without further ado... let's do this! Day... or, er, night... 4 of the Dash Tag challenge!!



I had to choose a pet super fast this time around, so I went ahead and chose Lizzy the raccoon!!

 Okay, so her description is obviously AJHQ having a bit of fun with alliteration... but still, I figured I could make something out of it, considering she seems to laugh a lot and likes lollipops! XD!
So here's the drawing I came up with!

I wanted to give Lizzy a laughing expression, and add a lollipop in there as well! So boom! XD!
I've had to mix colors for all of the pets I've drawn so far, and Lizzy was no different! I mixed yellow and pink to make the color of her heart patches, her nose, and the tops of her ears, and it turned out even better than I thought it would! I'd say it's pretty close to the real color!
Something I DID have trouble with, though, was the lightest color - you know, the one around her muzzle and bordering her heart patches? Yeah... I colored a bit too dark with the yellow, and I ended up going over it all with an eraser to make it lighter, then re-drawing the lines. I'm still not exactly satisfied with the color it is now - it's still way too yellow around the mouth and nose, but I really couldn't seem to fix it, so I suppose it'll have to do!
And can I just say that drawing that paw holding the lollipop was a lot harder to make than I thought? I had to test a couple styles until I found one I liked that didn't look too awkward! XD!
Anyways, I think Lizzy was my favorite to draw so far - I even actually drew her in basically one try, which is something I don't normally do!




Well, despite this being posted at such a late time, I really hope you guys enjoyed Day 4 of my challenge!! I'll try to post earlier next Saturday! But until then, I hope you guys remember to party hard, be creative, and keep drawing!! And don't forget... LIFE IS CINEMATIC!!! XD!

AJ Chibi — Monkey!

It’s just occurred to me... have I done the Monkey before? *scratches head* It does seem to be ringing a bell.

Well, in any case, it’s a different Monkey chibi than what I may or may not have done before, so here we go!



First, we have the original drawing — very blocky. (That’s why I chose it to chibi-fy. If I had made the Turtle, for example, there’d hadly be any difference at all!)

Next we have the beginning sketch! It’s much rounder.

And lineart! Can’t forget that.

And heeeeeeeeere’s the finished version! *”ta-da” noise* Colored and besparkled!

Dash Tag Challenge - Day 3!

Ohhhh boy, is this late or what?

Very sorry that this happened again, guys! This time, it wasn't just because I forgot - we actually went to a park in the afternoon, and I wasn't able to finish coloring the drawing I did until afterwards!

This post is gonna be written super fast, since it's super late where I am, but bear with me, okay?


Alright! So this week, I had my sis come back and help me choose which pet to draw! She chose Dusty the fox! Here's her little "profile":

She seems so cute! (Also, I only noticed today that her favorite toy is an inhaler?! That's not exactly a toy, Dusty... XD!)

Anywho, I decided to draw her sneezing, hence the description! Aaaaand...

... here's the finished product!! I did a bunch of color-mixing again with this one, and, although the color of the ears and parts of her design is kinda messed up (I really shouldn't have colored so hard with the brown...), I really like how lil' Dusty turned out! I realized today that drawing a sneezing expression is a bit harder than it looks, though! XD!

I think I did a pretty good job matching the in-game colors of her main fur color and that pinkish-purple one! I thought those would be a disaster, but hey, it's not too shabby, right? XD

And of course, I gave her a little... cloud... thing (inspired by a CS item!) to show she's sneezing, along with a little "Choo!" exclamation under it! It DID say she had cute sneezes, after all!

And, to top it all off, I wrote her name in little dust-cloud letters (sorry Dusty! Maybe that's what made her sneeze... XD)!

Well, I hope you guys like how I drew this sweet fox! I'll be doing Day 4 next week, but until then, remember to *sings to the tune of Say* SAY WHAT YOU NEED TO SAY (XD), be creative, and KEEP DRAWING! 

How I Draw A Realistic Dog with Charcoal & a Nutella Masterpiece

Hi, Guys! It's summer for me now and I'm so happy! I don't have any homework or tests! I'm definitely going to draw a lot! Well, yesterday I was drawing a golden retriever because I asked my friend what I should draw and she sent me a picture of one.

First, I covered the paper with a layer of charcoal and I sketched out the dog.

I added some more fur and some detail to the face.

And here is the finished dog!

I think that if there was anything I would keep the same it would be the nose. I think that came out good. If there's anything I would change I would add more grass and flowers. I think I might go back and add more.

Ok! On to the second piece of art! I made this one in Animal Jam! I was talking to some buddies and we were obsessing over Nutella so I decided to make them Nutella masterpieces.

First, I made the basic shape in black or white.

Then, I added some shading to the lid.

Finally, I made the jar brown, added some shading, and finished the label.

My Apple Pencil is low on power... and I need to get to bed, so waiting for it to charge seemed inadvisable.

Thusly, instead of drawing a chibi from scratch, I’ll be posting some art that I’ve already drawn today (and in days gone by)!



This is my OC Midnight — she’s a totally epic superhero. *grins* I’m writing a story with her, although I’m in a bit of a rut in regards to the the plotting-out stage right now. (Working on it, though. 😋)

This is... well, basically inspred by an outfit I was wearing one day, a leather jacket with a burgundy cowl-neck sweater. I liked it a lot, even though it was very warm. Decided a drawing is a lot more comfortable.

THIS — oh, dear. Capslock.

This is another superhero, though nowhere near as thought out as Midnight. Mostly just some concept art. She’s a pyrokinetic, and her design was inspired by a candle-flame motif. What do you think her name should be?

Well, that’s all I have for now. Maybe after I get some sleep, I can draw an animal chibi and edit this post to include it! That’d be pretty cool. 😃

This might seem like a no-brainer, but it’s been so long since I did anything else, that I genuinely forgot! So let’s have some variety for once! How about some armor concept art?



This is Shadow Warrior Armor, something I think would look REALLY cool in-game. I grabbed a picture of a Cheetah off the Animal Jam Archives to act as my mannequin.

This is its’ fraternal twin, Light Warrior Armor! This time shown on a Deer (also AJ Archives).

I would love to see how these would look in Animal Jam! I wonder how one could make artwork that looks like a screenshot... it would have to be in the same vein as editing, but actually have original content instead of taking pieces of existing objects... hmmm. Does anyone know about a program that can do this? I’d love to hear about it!
